Two-Day Intensive Course

Course description

This course is designed for those supporting, caring or advocating for individuals at end-of-life such as Death Doulas, hospice volunteers, alternative health practitioners and healthcare professionals.

Course Content

· Ontario specific regulations, standards of care and protocols in healthcare

· Navigating the healthcare system at end of life in Ontario

· Symptom management

· Practical knowledge in caring for someone at end of life

· Advocating for the dying person and their family

· How to facilitate effective end of life planning conversations using the Modern Deathcare End-of-Life Planning Guide

· Realities and logistics of family-led deathcare in Ontario

· Basic infection control and care of the body

$100 non-refundable deposit at time of registration. Full payment by September 30, 2020.
